Ok, as it turns out, I found some more info about the Sound question. So, in a nutshell, the only app capable of measuring 85 dB Leq(M) norm is from Dolby and called DolbyAudioMeter. It's about 800€ and probably not compatible with Avid. I also found out that this unit is all about loudness and how the ear perceives the sound (including over time), and that some equivalent measures would be LUFS. Now, next question, is there any way to include a LUFS meter directly inside MC? I found this: Which is supposed to be great andvery cheap, but its vst or aax.

Can MC accept those? (Sorry, not much of a plugin guy:-) Lastly, even if there is a way to use a LUFS meter/normalizer from MC, How would I apply it? The ideal would be to apply the effect to the master output, and not to single tracks, as this wouldn't make sense. Any way to do that? If you prefer doing it in MC, do an audio mixdown and apply the appropriate normalizer to your mixdown (not track based RTAS bit clip based audiosuite).

When you say normalizer, do you mean the one I linked to in my previous message? If so, does that mean I can install that particular AAX plugin into MC?

24c16 Eeprom Software there. (there is much confusion in my mind about what plugins MC can 'ingest', especially given the various AAX flavors) Also, are you reffering to the new mixdown thingy introduced in MC8? This one: Special >Audio Mix >Multiple Mixes Cos I've never used that. SO if I understand it well, I have to create a mixdown (or mix) composed of my chosen tracks, then apply an AAX effect directly to that? No way to apply an effect to the master output? Or master mix? While you can export DPX from MC, as well aa TIFF, I'd ask them if they can handle a DNxHD Quicktime and bliw that up to 2K DCI.
